I Dream, therefore I am an Architect

On December 28, 2022, IUS Architecture study program organized the annual exhibition of ARCH postgraduate students' artwork made during ARCH551/568 course lessons taught by Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamila Simišić-Pašić. The artwork presents experiments which combined Artificial Intelligence and Architecture resulting in students' visions of their imaginary trip from home to school.

The opening speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Meliha Teparić, the IUS Art Gallery Director. She welcomed the attendees to the new beautiful space of the IUS Art Gallery and underlined that the student artwork exhibited is like a dream that might become real one day in the future. Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamila Simišić-Pašić thanked her students for their hard work and explained that architects face many challenges today. She also pointed out that architects learn all the time especially when it comes to new technological innovations. Artificial Intelligence was part of the students’ designing process and, in this way, they benefit from new methods, tools and technology.

It the end, an Architecture student, Ms. Erna Preljević, addressed the attendees and expressed her gratitude for being part of such a wonderful project. She said that this was a wonderful opportunity for students to present their way of thinking using Artificial Intelligence and show their daily life and activities in an extraordinary way.
