IUS and Veritas Automotive Discuss Collaboration in Student Internships, Employment, and Research

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, a delegation from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) visited Veritas Automotive d.o.o. in Sarajevo as part of the University’s continued efforts to strengthen ties with industry and create new opportunities for students through practical engagement and cooperation with leading companies.

The IUS delegation included Professor Emeritus Dr. Asif Šabanović from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) study program, Senior Assistant Ammar Hodža from the Mechanical Engineering (ME) study program, and Senior Assistant Muhamed Bisić, also from the Mechanical Engineering (ME) study program.

On behalf of Veritas Automotive, the delegation was welcomed by: Mr. Emin Zeković, Head of the Industrialization Department, Mr. Kemal Šundo, Head of the Maintenance Department, Ms. Naida Begović-Ibraković, Head of Human Resources, and Ms. Emira Lolo, Human Resources and Administration Associate. 

During the visit, the hosts introduced the IUS delegation to the company’s profile, field of activity, and core operations. The delegation then toured the production plant, where they had the opportunity to observe the company’s production processes and the manufacturing and processing of plastic components.

The visit continued with a productive meeting focused on identifying potential areas of cooperation between IUS and Veritas Automotive. Discussions included opportunities related to student internships and part-time employment, scientific and research collaboration, as well as the exchange of experiences and perspectives on how to better equip students with practical knowledge and skills aligned with the needs of the labor market.

This visit once again highlighted the importance of building strong partnerships between academia and industry in order to prepare students for successful careers in highly competitive and internationally recognized companies such as Veritas Automotive.
