Minister Bošković Visits International University of Sarajevo

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the honour of hosting the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Canton Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković, who visited the University in return for a previous visit by the IUS management.

During her visit, Minister Bošković met with the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı. Their discussion focused on cooperation between higher education institutions and relevant governmental bodies, with particular emphasis on quality assurance and the continuous development of academic programs.

In addition, Minister Bošković participated as a key stakeholder in a panel session organized as part of the ASIIN accreditation site visit from Germany, within the process of accrediting the engineering study programs at the International University of Sarajevo.

Minister Bošković’s participation further underscored the importance of external evaluation and international accreditation in enhancing the quality, internationalisation, and global recognition of higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The International University of Sarajevo remains committed to strengthening its quality assurance mechanisms and aligning its academic programs with internationally recognized standards, thereby ensuring excellence in education and research.
