An innovative educational program at IUS

The BIT Camp opening ceremony was held in the main amphitheater of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Monday, November 10, 2014. In the audience were present the representatives of the host institutions such as IUS, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Market Makers Project, representatives of the BIT Alliance, as well as professors and students of the BIT Camp. Prof. Dr. Fuat Gürcan, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) and Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Research talked about the importance of this project and its realization through cooperation between this educational institution and the industry.                                

25 participants, the finalists of the BIT Camp who were selected after a rigorous selection process from nearly 800 applicants who are representing the essence of this high quality project. During the presentations, participants have shown their diversity, talent, positive energy, optimism and high expectations of the BIT Camp. They expect that the BIT Camp will help them change their lives through employment and give them a brighter future. ''IUS is proud as an institution to give support to young people through this and similar projects. Our goal is not only to provide education, but also to provide opportunities for young people to get education and better chances for getting a job'' - said Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Research.
