IUS and Adriatic Metals Collaborate on DeepGreenInno Project to Advance Green Technologies and Education

On Monday, June 10, 2024, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and Adriatic Metals company from Vareš signed an agreement for business, technical, and educational collaboration. IUS representatives, including Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Yasir Göz, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić, Head of the Department of Natural Sciences at the IUS Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić, and Dean of the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Knezović, welcomed the Adriatic Metals delegation comprising Non-Executive Director and Board Member, Mrs. Sanela Karić, Head of Partnerships, Mrs. Arnela Babić, Communications Specialist, Mr. Haris Rizvanović, and Senior Talent and Learning Specialist, Mr. Mirza Kovač.

The agreement was signed by Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Yasir Göz, and Non-Executive Director and Board Member, Mrs. Sanela Karić. This partnership aims to enhance the practical class activities of students, alongside academic and professional work. Key aspects of the agreement include the implementation of joint scientific research programs and projects, collaborative professional tasks in preparing reports, studies, and projects, as well as joint field classes and internships. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry experience.

The collaboration is conducted within the framework of the DeepGreenInno (DGI) project, which aims to increase innovative capacity in green material technologies, green chemistry, and material chain-related environmental protection.
