IUS Students Engage in Industry Exploration at Adriatic Metals
In an exciting development in academia-industry collaboration, students from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) and the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), accompanied by their professors Dr. Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić, Dr. Šejma Aydin and Dr. Emil Knezović, embarked on a transformative study visit to Adriatic Metals in Vareš.
This study visit marked a significant milestone within the framework of the DeepGreenInno project, fostering invaluable insights at the intersection of academia and industry. The students were afforded a firsthand glimpse into the cutting-edge technologies driving the mining sector, as well as an opportunity to engage with experts from Adriatic Metals' sustainability department. From exploration to extraction, students gained a comprehensive understanding of the processes underpinning the industry's sustainability initiatives.
Such collaborative engagements serve to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, empowering students to become catalysts for innovation and change.
