"Responsible science for a better society"
Professors of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Assist. Prof. Dr. Jasminka Hasic Telalovic and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadziabdic, participated in the final regional conference of the RDI Tools (Responsible Research and Innovation Tools) organized by the Centre for the Promotion of Science in Belgrade. Conference on topic "Responsible Science for a Better Society" was held on Friday, 16 December 2016, in Belgrade (Serbia), with the participation of representatives of South East Europe and other EU member states. The aim of the conference was to present what has been done to implement RDI Tools project and make recommendations for the continuation of the promotion and application of scientific achievements in the education sector.
Center for promotion of the Science, a regional coordinator of the Project for South-Eastern Europe, has gathered partners with whom they had various activities and trainings in the past three years on the topic of concept of responsible research.
During their visit to Belgrade, Professors Jasminka Hasic and Muhamed Hadziabdic have met with their colleagues from the region and other European countries and they discussed about possible cooperation within the Erasmus+ program.
“During this conference we had an opportunity to meet with the director of Scientific Institute Heureka from Finland, Mr. Mikko Myllykoski and we discussed about possible cooperation between IUS and this prestige scientific institution. Finland is known as country with developed and successful educational system, which cultivates promotion of science among young people. Center Heureka is a positive example of the promotion of science which we in Bosnia and region should in order to progress more“ said Prof. Hadziabdic.
